MARK YOUR CALANDARS FOR MAY 19TH THRU 21ST, 2017
Come and join us for the first mid-western get together of the season. This will be the 8th time we get together at this beautifully wooded location - the Thomas Woods Campsites of the Marengo Ridge Conservation Area. There are 18 RV-Trailer sites, most are boondock (dry without electric). We will be getting together for Friday evening vintage trailer tour (with Crazy Hat Contest - awards will be given) and late night camp fire get-together, followed by Saturday evening pot luck dinner and group camp fire - there is usually some song singing and music playing going on Sat. night - so bring your pipes, guitar, harmonica or banjo to join in, then on Sunday we have a leasurly campfire group pot luck breakfast before we pack up say our goodbyes and go home. This also is the time for Sunday's Fair Diddley at the Woodstock Square, where hundreds of crafters and artisans show their wares, so Sunday you can shop Fair Diddley and bring home some Kettle Corn!
Marengo Ridge is one of the McHenry County Conservation District campground sites that is set around beautiful wooded hiking paths and interpretive nature trails. The camp host (Site 4) will have electricity that they will share for Sunday morning group coffee & breakfast needs and evening entertainment/potluck needs. This is an economical weekend get together (no rally fee) that we are guarenteed to have a great time with great folks.
